Energetics is proud to have served as the energy consultant for the SGI-USA Buddhist Center, a newly completed net-zero energy, fully electric, 16,000 SF building in downtown Denver. Rebuilt from the ground up on its original site along the South Platte River, the new Denver Culture Center is a beautiful addition to the city.
More than 1,200 SGI members and guests including city leaders and project partners attended the grand opening celebration, which featured a ribbon-cutting and inspiring remarks.
From an energy standpoint, the SGI-USA Buddhist Center sets a strong precedent for sustainable commercial design with its all-electric building, high-efficiency systems, and ENERGY STAR-rated equipment. Energetics provided whole-building energy modeling, IECC compliance analysis, and ongoing guidance to help the team meet high-performance goals.
We’re honored to support Ewers Architecture and the SGI-USA team in creating a space that was thoughtfully designed for sustainability, functionality and community.
