SENIOR ENERGY PROJECT MANAGER

Energetics is seeking a Senior level Project Manager to join our energy consulting team.  This individual will consult directly with teams while also managing the energy analysis process.

SALARY RANGE:  $95,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Professional Engineer (PE) – required
  • ASHRAE BEMP certification – preferred
  • Deep knowledge of building science
  • 5-10+ years experience in consulting and collaborating with internal and external teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, track multiple deadlines, collaborate with team members, and solve problems

SKILLS & DUTIES

  • Energy modeling and consulting using OpenStudio / EnergyPlus and other software tools
  • Analyze building energy efficiency and conservation measures such as massing/orientation, envelope, daylighting/lighting, HVAC/DHW, and renewable energy
  • Consult directly with design teams on sustainable building practices with respect to envelope, lighting, HVAC, controls, and renewable energy
  • Prepare presentations and energy analysis reports for project teams, building department officials, financial entities, and utility rebate programs
  • Attend team meetings virtually and (sometimes) in person
  • Present analysis results and recommendations to teams in a way that non-technical people can understand
  • Daily project management and communication
  • Knowledge of energy modeling protocol under local codes and green rating systems
  • Internal QA/QC of models, results, and deliverables
  • Oversee the modeling and documentation of energy compliance and savings for green certifications such as LEED, NGBS, and Energy Star
  • Knowledge and implementation of Lean business practices and methods
  • Mentoring and training of junior staff
  • Oversee project budgets and deadlines
